Jacob had opted to skip the relative safety of the first town and go right to the second. He walked into the tall grass located on the route leading out of the town. The pokemon here tended to be of a higher level than that of Jacob's pokemon so it would certainly be interesting to train there. Jacob didn't plan to wander into the view of any trainers, but he did want to fight a variety of wild pokemon.

Nathan had been wandering around Route 1002 for his first Pokemon Battle of his Journey and refused to leave this Route till he did so. He looked around also for what was said to be a Pichu that had been wandering around these parts lately. Nathan was growing restless. He yearned for two things but hasn't come close to achieving ether of them. Nathan walked by a Pond that was the biggest Pond in Route 1002. He looked into the Pond and threw his Pokeballs in the air. Letting his Pidgey Pecker, and his Munchlax Sneaky get a drink.

"...Its been a hour and no signs of humans OR Pichu...looks like we'll just have to move on you guys.."

Like usual, not one of Jacob's pokemon were actually in their pokeballs. Dratini was wrapped around Jacob's body. Charmander was at his side keeping up with his slow stride, just fine. Finally Gastly was out floating around Jacob's head. Gastly was actually a pretty good look out, when he wasn't off goofing around.

Sneaky's stomach began to growl and when that happened, it meant misheift time. Sneaky was originally a picnic basket thief and was famous Around Toga and New Region Town for it. Sneaky wandered off away from Nathan and began walking around Route 1002, until he came across a trainer. Normally trainers would give a Wild Pokemon food, that Sneaky knew. Sneaky rushed over to the trainer who had a Charmander walking idly by him. A Dritini wrapped around his shoulders and a Gastly floating around his head. Even with all these Pokemon around him, Sneaky showed no fear. He wasn't a fearful Pokemon.

Charmander twirled around as soon as it caught the other pokemon's scent. Jacob followed suit looking at the small, chubby little pokemon. "Huh, what's this little guy?" Jacob said pulling out his Pokedex. "Unknown Pokemon: Regional Update Required" "What the hell? Sigh, stupid Professor, he probably gave the shitty grandson of his the upgrades." Jacob said a bit annoyed. Stepping back Jacob pointed towards the Munchlax. "Dratini go, use thunderwave!"

Sneaky:"Munch?..."

Just before the attack was sent out. Sneaky was quickly pulled out the way by a shadow figure. It was Pecker. Pecker was more like a Big Brother to Sneaky, or at least he was always getting Sneaky out of trouble. Sneaky always tended to draw trouble towards Pecker AND Nathan. After a few moments Nathan appeared on the scene next to his two Pokemon.

"What the duce is going on here?"

"It looks like you let your pokemon off of it's leash. You had damned well better keep them under control if you don't want them to end up in someone else's pokeball." Jacob lectured. Jacob began to walk away without even giving the other trainer a second thought. He couldn't believe some people, they really needed to be more responsible with their pokemon.

"Psh, I'll tell a snotty little punk of a trainer like you how to raise your pokemon everyday as long as you can't keep them under control. Its one thing for them to have personality, but its a whole different situation when they're running around like stupid little children. Heh, so you're naive enough to think that there aren't trainers out there that would throw that thing in a ball and walk away like nothing ever happened? People suck and they steal pokemon all the time." Jacob said stopping as he spoke.

"You must not have heard of me. I'm Nathan. Currently named the Best Trainer in New Region Town..My Pokemon and I are going to the top! I wouldn't expect a Half Ass'd Trainer such as your self to understand the true bond between Pokemon and Trainer..PHEWPHEWPHEWPHEW!!"

Sneaky walked over to the talking Nathan and sat on his foot and began taking a Nap. Pecker flew above Sneaky and signed, he then flew towards Nathans shoulder and landed on it. Looking at his opponents Pokemon. Nathan placed one hand in his pocket and smirked at his opponent.

"..Enough Talk! You seem like your tough...How about a Battle! 2 vs 2, Single Battle. No fee if you win or lose..How about it...Erm...What ever your name is.."

"Hehehahaha! A shit head that can't even keep his pokemon under control has no room to say anything to a train of my level. My pokemon have a truer bond than you and yours, its forged through years of team work and companionship. Just because we have little battle experience doesn't mean shit, it the quality not the quantity." Jacob said turning around. Charmander was about to explode and leap on the rival trainer, its tail fire was burning bright with anger. Of course Gastly was able to pick up on the emotions and it began flying in aggravated circles around Jacob's head. Jacob knew very well he wouldn't win a two on two battle, the best chance he had was if he was allowed to use all three of them. "No, no I don't plan on battling you with only two. I'm more into classic battles, where we battle all out with what we have. By the way, my name is Jacob, remember it you little snot." he said trying to lure the trainer into an all out three on two battle.

"That's fine by me...I'll start with Sneaky....Sneaky....Sneaky?...DAMMIT SNEAKY WAKE UP!"

Nathan kicked his Pokemon off his foot and it woke up instantly. Sneaky then blinked its eyes three times, completely unphased by the kick and yawned.

"..Sneaky! Use Amnesia!.."

Sneaky then began using Amnesia the moment his trainer said so. Raising his Special Defense sharply.

Jacob grinned, this was going all according to his plan. The foe even used the pokemon he had wanted him to use first. This was going to be a battle of strategy on Jacob's part, not just some slug fest. "Go Gastly, use hypnosiss!" Gastly flew into the battle and immediately launched a spiraling psychic wave that would attempt to place the already sleep prone pokemon in a hibernation state for a few turns at least.

"..Roll out the way and use Amnesia again!."

Sneaky then proceeded with watching the direction of the Hypnosis attack and rolled out the way of the attack. He then used Amnesia to raise his Special Defense sharply once again. Sneaky, although a bit of a trouble maker. Knew when it was time to get serious. Nathan and Sneaky although fought about Sneaky's behavior, had formed a bond between Trainer and Pokemon. But it was nothing compared to the bond between Pecker and Nathan.

"Bah, that little butterball is faster than he looks, but it doesn't matter. Gastly keep using hypnosis until you hit him" ordered the trainer. Gastly flew over towards the as it used amnesia once again. The hypnotic a attack was again shot towards the chubby pokemon, however this time if it missed, Gastly would use again until it met its target.

"..NOW RETURN SNEAKY!!!"

Nathan then threw out his Pokeball and returned his Pokemon. His new found strategy was working perfectly fine. He then pointed out at the field and nudged his head on the bird Pokemon resting on his cranium. Pecker the flew 10 feet it the air and made 3 whole circles around his opponent. It then began flying closer to the ground. Eyeing his opponent.

"..The real battle Starts...USE SAND-ATTACK!!"

Pecker, out of the way of his opponents Hypnosis attack ,used Sand Attack, if it hit it would lower his opponents accuracy (vision leaves for like 4 post). Thus making it much easier to battle.

Gastly waited till the attack hit, most of it just went through it's body, but some did manage to get in its eyes. However this wasn't a problem as Jacob raised his pokeball and returned the ghost to its chambers. "Gastly Return. Dratini go! Use Thuderwave!" The small snake like pokemon leaped off of Jacob's shoulders and into the battlefield sending out a wide wave of electricity. If the attack hit it would mean paralyses for the bird pokemon. In that state it would be a toss up if the pokemon would actually be able to use an attack.

Pecker floated in mid air and watched as the attack got closer to him.

"Pecker! Dodge and use Gust!"

Pecker then flew above the Thunder Wave and took at Dritini who was in mid attack. Pecker then used Gust. Although a Dragon Type. The move would still shake up his opponent if it hit.

"Dratini, use wrap on your tail." Jacob ordered. The little dragon coiled up its body and began to wrap around its own tail. This not only avoided direct damage from the gust attack, but also reduced whatever leftover damage there was by forming a nice defensive little ball. Once it hit the ground, Jacob once again gave an order. "Use thunderwave again and then hide in the tall grass." Dratini launched another electrical wave at the foe. However this time the pokemon also slithered away trying to conceal its location in the taller grass.

Pecker Continued Flying around high in the sky. Avoiding Damage. It looked down at his opponent who's attacks were currently out of rage. Pecker then hovered 20 feet high in the air and awaited command.

"..Hmpf..Hiding will do you no good...PECKER DIVE THROUGH THAT TALL GRASS AND USE SAND-ATTACK!!"

Pecker then dove at full speed straight through the tall grass then pulled up back into the sky. Right when he was close to the grass, it used Sand Attack. The Sand would hopefully hit the hidden Dritini.

"Bingo" Jacob said to himself as soon as the little Pecker began to dive. Once the pokemon was in range he yelled out to his dragon. "Dratini use wrap attack followed by thunderwave!" The small pokemon leaped out of the grass as the bird flapped its wings creating a small dust storm. However the fact it didn't actually damage Dratini combined with how close he was did little to slow the snake like dragon down. If the wrap attack met its target, it would stay around its foe for anywhere from 2 to 5 turns the whole time he would be free of most any damage as the foe would be constricted. Also the Dratini would immediately use a thunderwave once attached.

Pecker, although took the Thunderwave head on. Also was hopefully able to hit the Dritini with a Sand Attack. Peckers movements were then slowed greatly. He could evade, but not a agile as he once was. Though the Dritini's accuracy should be off more the usual.

"USE GUST PECKER!"

Dratini was smacked head on by the gust, dealing a near critical blow. However just barely, with its health in the red the small dragon held on. "That's it Dratini, just hang in there a little bit!" Jacob said encouraging his pokemon. "Use wrap attack, one more time!" The Dratini lunged its body at the Pidgey attempting to wrap around the foe. If it was successful the attack would deal little damage each turn for two to five turns while keeping the already paralyzed foe unable to attack.

Pecker, although his movements where slowed down. He was still agile enough to get out of the way of the Dritini's wrap just in the nick of time. When it was in his sights, He used Gust aiming for the Dritini.

Dratini was taken out my the foes gust attack. Hold up his pokeball, Jacob returned his pokemon and placed the ball back on his belt. Without another word Charmander walked onto the battlefield. He would be a tougher opponent to beat, his ember attack combined with the negative status of the Pidgey could do some major damage. "Charmander, light'em up!" A ember attack shot from the small pokemon, it would be harder to dodge under normal circumstances.
